Wings Air Opens Lombok- Semarang Direct Flights
Suaranusa.com, Mataram— Lombok International Airport (LIA) opened a new flight route at the end of this March with Wings Air directly to Ahmad Yani’s Airport, Semarang (SRG), Central Java.
Previously, LIA has opened 3 routes earlier this year, those are Airasia to Kuala Lumpur, Nam Air to Bima and Lion Air to Banjarmasin.
Flight on Sunday (25/03/2018) Wings Air uses aircraft ATR 72-500 / 600 with a capacity of 78 passengers. Wings Air with flight number IW 1870 from Semarang arrived at LIA at 23.05 WITA. But the flight to Semarang depart at 21.30 WITA with flight number IW 1871.
“Now, there are more routes to Java Island. Flights from the Lombok Island to the major cities in the Java Island have been able to connect. We look forward for adding new routes that can open connections from and to the Lombok Island to other cities.” Said General Manager of Lombok Internasional Airport, I Gusti Ngurah Ardita.
Based on the information of Public Relations of Lombok International Airport, they are now serving 12 domestic routes, those are Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Solo, Surabaya, Bali, Sumbawa, Bima, Benete, Makasar, Banjarmasin and Semarang.
While the international flight has 2 routes, each route are to Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.
Now, Lombok International Airport has prepared several work programs to improve servants and facilities such as dropzone development, addition of apron plane, addition of taxiway and terminal extension.
